Sustainability Reporting

Moving quickly towards a sustainable society is a priority for Cabonline and the company has measured its progress in the area of sustainability for several years. Read more below on our commitment to science based emission targets, our Green framework and our annual Sustainability report.

Science Based Target initiative

Cabonline takes the lead in the industry by becoming Northern Europe's first taxi company with climate targets in line with the Paris Agreement's 1.5-degree targets, approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

The SBTi is a non-profit global collaboration between CDP, the UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute (WRI), WWF and the We Mean Business Coalition. The SBTi has established a framework for companies and organizations to set science-based climate targets. To get targets approved, a mapping of emissions throughout the value chain (Scope 1, 2 and 3) must have been carried out and the level of ambition for the targets has to be in line with, or more aggressive than, what is stipulated in the Paris Agreement.

Cabonline's targets cover all emissions in the value chain, both upstream and downstream. Upstream includes the emissions from the supplier and its partners, and downstream includes all emissions that occur after the company's own operations. On behalf of Cabonline, most of the emissions are made by the vehicles that are affiliated by franchise agreements to the Cabonline Group and occur in Cabonline’s downstream emission mapping. Cabonline's commitment is to reduce all emissions to be in line with the Paris Agreement's 1.5-degree target.

In April 2023, Cabonline had its targets approved, and is now working to reduce emissions in line with these. External reporting against the targets is done in the annual sustainability report.

Green framework for sustainable finance

Cabonline has established a framework for sustainability-related financing, to further integrate sustainability targets into the financial operations. The framework is in line with the five key principles of a so-called SLB (Sustainability Linked Bond). The status of key performance indicators and targets in the framework is included in the annual sustainability report.

The framework as a whole and verification reports from external auditors can be found under Investor Information.
